CPCP Training

City Pregnancy Counselling and Psychotherapy aims to be a centre of excellence for counselling and psychotherapy in issues related to pregnancy and pregnancy loss. The provision of training and continuing professional development for its own counsellors and psychotherapists, as well as for, individuals, agencies and other interested groups is a key part of our strategy to obtain excellence.

CPCP organises regular continuing professional development workshops, open on a first-come, first served basis. Past workshops have included post traumatic stress disorder, by Dr Patricia d’Ardenne a consultant at the Institute of Psychotrauma, Healthy Maternal Ambivalence given by Professor Joan Raphael-Leff BA Tel-Aviv, MSc LSe, PhD University of Essex and a talk by SANDS, the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death charity. For details of forthcoming CPD sessions please click on the Newsfeed link to the left (coming soon). CPCP does not charge for these workshops, although donations are accepted.

The team at CPCP has a variety of specialist skills to suit different styles of learning and levels of training. If you are interested in a team from CPCP visiting your organisation to provide training in pregnancy and pregnancy-loss related issues, please contact us to discuss prices and our range of courses (which can be tailored to meet your needs). We are also open to the possibility a CPD workshop skills exchange.

CPCP is also occasionally able to offer placements for Diploma course students at university or higher. Please contact us and ask to speak to the Therapy Manager for more details.
